Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of cultural diversity on enhancing Qatari national identity through an analytical study based on constructivist and liberal perspectives in interpreting the relationship between multiculturalism and identity building. The study employs a descriptive-analytical methodology, drawing on theoretical literature related to national identity and multiculturalism, while analyzing Qatari policies in education, media, legislation, and cultural initiatives within the framework of Qatar National Vision 2030.

The study concludes that the Qatari experience represents a model of "disciplined selective openness," where globalization is viewed not as a direct threat to identity, but as an opportunity for its redefinition and reinforcement through conscious institutional policies that integrate national values into modern development paths. Results indicate that strengthening national identity is not achieved through cultural isolationism, but rather by building an inclusive civic identity based on citizenship, state loyalty, and respect for the law, while maintaining the cultural and religious particularity of society.

The study recommends deepening community participation in shaping the national discourse, expanding intercultural dialogue channels, and bolstering the role of educational and media institutions in consolidating national values to achieve a sustainable balance between cultural diversity and national cohesion in the State of Qatar.
