Improving the Efficiency of Professional Uniforms for Wastewater Treatment Plant Workers to meet Functional, Design, and Health Requirements

Abstract

One of the most important objectives of the study is to study and evaluate the current standards of uniforms for wastewater treatment plant workers and their suitability from a functional, design, and health perspective. It also aims to present proposed designs for wastewater treatment plant workers' uniforms that ensure comfort and protection, and to implement the proposed designs with appropriate specifications for wastewater treatment plant workers. The study adopted a descriptive (analytical) approach, given its suitability for the study's objectives, as well as a quasi-experimental approach in the applied study. The study reached the following conclusions regarding the opinions of wastewater treatment plant workers: Improve the functional, design, and health characteristics of wastewater treatment plant workers' uniforms to ensure greater protection and health. Provide materials with specifications and treatments appropriate to the tasks of wastewater treatment plant workers. High-quality closure methods should be used to ensure efficient operation. Regarding the results and opinions of specialists in fashion, clothing, and textiles regarding the proposed designs, we conclude the following: The first design fulfills the functional needs of wastewater treatment plant workers, while the aesthetic aspect requires some modifications to fully meet the desires of workers. The second design met the functional and aesthetic needs of wastewater treatment plant workers in their uniforms. Therefore, this design meets the requirements of wastewater treatment plant workers. The third design met part of the functional and aesthetic needs of wastewater treatment plant workers in their uniforms.
