Self-Image (Realistic - Ideal) among Researchers of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs
Abstract
The current research aims to identify the preferred self-image (realism - ideal) among researchers of the Ministry of Labor in all governorates of Iraq, and the statistically significant differences in self-image (realism - ideal) according to the variables of gender (males, females) and age (less than 35-35 and more). The study sample consisted of (300) male and female researchers from all governorates of Iraq, according to the variables of gender and age, for the academic year (2020-2021), and to achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher followed the descriptive approach and built a self-image scale (realism - ideal) among social researchers. It consists of (40) paragraphs based on Rogers' theory 1969. The psychometric properties of the scale were confirmed after it was presented to a group of experts. Then the researcher analyzed the data through the use of the Statistical Portfolio for Social Sciences. The results showed that researchers prefer the ideal self-image, and there are no significant differences Statistical in moral advancement according to the gender variable, There are no statistically significant differences in the ideal and realistic self-image according to the variable of gender and age.
